
On Wednesday, 21 January, the Director of the Africa School of Regulation (ASR), Dr Abdulkadir Shettima, and the Executive Secretary of the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF), Mr Mamadou Biteye, paid a courtesy visit to Ghana’s Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Abdulai Jinapor.
The purpose of the visit was to formally introduce the ASR to the minister and discuss potential collaboration, particularly regarding a capacity-building programme to strengthen the energy regulatory skills of key stakeholders in Ghana’s energy sector. The ASR Director highlighted that ASR is headquartered in Accra at the ACBF Regional Office for West and Central Africa and is working in partnership with key stakeholders to establish a capacity-building hub on energy regulation in Accra.
The ASR delegation also included Mr Abdrahamane Dicko (Regional Director for West and Central Africa and Director of Programmes and Impact), Mr Daouda Koné (Special Adviser to the ACBF Executive Secretary), Mr Mariano Morrazio (ASR General Manager) and Dr Charly Gatete (ASR Senior Researcher)
