The ASR carries out applied research with the purpose of developing economically, legally, and socially-sound regulation and policy focused on achieving speed and scale.


Position Paper | Guidelines on Transmission Pricing and Cost Allocation for Regional Power Trade.

This report presents a set of harmonized guidelines to support fair, transparent, and efficient transmission pricing and cost allocation in the context of regional power trade in Africa. Developed through extensive stakeholder engagement and technical input, the guidelines aim to facilitate cross-border electricity flows by addressing challenges such as the cost recovery of shared transmission infrastructure, network usage charges, and compensation mechanisms.
