Accelerating Universal Adoption of Clean Cooking in Africa

ASR Webinar

The Institute of Research in Technology (IIT-Comillas University) and the African School of Regulation (ASR) co-organised a webinar exploring how technical, regulatory, financial and planning approaches can accelerate universal adoption of clean cooking in Africa.

The session examined the continued reliance on polluting fuels and technologies, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa, and the associated health, environmental, and socio-economic impacts. Discussions considered practical approaches to expanding clean cooking access through sustainable and scalable solutions.

The webinar also introduced the four-week online course, New Approaches to Accelerate the Universal Adoption of Clean Cooking, designed to equip participants with tools and knowledge to support implementation.
