The African School of Regulation (ASR), in collaboration with the African Forum for Utility Regulators (AFUR), hosted a webinar exploring how data systems and emerging technologies can support more transparent, efficient, and evidence-based utility regulation across Africa.
The session examined the role of digital metering, automated reporting, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity in strengthening regulatory oversight. Discussions considered how regulators can use these tools to improve decision-making and support better service delivery.
