Co-organised by the Institute of Research in Technology (IIT-Comillas University) and the African School of Regulation (ASR), this webinar introduced the new course, « Nouvelles approches pour accélérer l'adoption universelle de solutions de cuisson propres. »
Despite global commitments under SDG 7, progress toward universal access to clean cooking remained slow—particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa, where a significant share of the population continued to rely on polluting fuels and technologies. The session highlighted the scale of the challenge and its far-reaching health, environmental, and socio-economic impacts.
Participants gained insights into innovative technical, regulatory, financial, and planning approaches that could support the large-scale and sustainable adoption of clean cooking solutions. Bringing together policymakers, practitioners, investors, and development partners, the webinar provided a platform to exchange perspectives and foster collaboration toward practical, scalable solutions.
The session also presented the forthcoming four-week online course, designed to equip participants with the tools and knowledge to drive real-world action.
